This method is based on the observation that the specular edges have a significant influence on the performance of the illuminant estimation. However, its specular edges detection algorithms still contain other type of edges (shadow edge & material edge). One feasible solution is to use the specular-map to improve the setting of specular edge weight value.. And so far automatic techniques are limited to assume that incident light is pure-white, while the images captured in the real world require to be color corrected.
Both types of approaches have their respective advantages and limitations. The first group of approaches is much simple and the additional computational complexity is low. However, a limitation of these approaches is that determining the appropriate parameters for a specific image is under constraint. Many approaches rely on simple heuristics to constrain the parameters, but these heuristics can fail on many scenes. The second group of approaches has better universality. This, however, the training process increases the computational complexity.
2 Related Works In this section, we mention about some representative works on Twitter photo mining. As a representative work on Twitter mining, Sakaki et al.  regarded Twitter users as social sensors which monitor and report the current status of the places where the users are. They proposed a system which estimates the location of natural events such as typhoons and earthquakes. They used geotagged tweets to estimate event locations but no photos attached to tweets. As early works on tweet photos, Yanai proposed World Seer  which can visualize geotagged photo tweets on the online map in the real-time way by monitoring the Twitter stream.
