It was during these lectures that Luther finally found the assurance that had evaded him for years. The differed from other Protestants such as the Lutherans and the Calvinists in that they rejected the baptism of children, believed in the complete separation of church and state, and refused to take up arms. Evangelicals are as diverse as the names that appear—Billy Graham, Chuck Colson, J. Panic seized the Presbyterian host, left without officers; rout followed; the royal cavalry pursued the fugitives, and mercilessly cut down all whom they overtook.

The strength of humanism in Italy ensured that serious consideration of evangelical reform within the church continued into the 1550s under the protection of humanist-influenced bishops. These are all doctrines invented by the Roman Catholic church WELL WELL beyond the Apostles’ teachings, and they were all created with a mix of philosophy and bad theology. On October 31, 1517 he attached to the door of Wittenberg Castle a list of 95 theses or propositions on indulgences.
